Effective for all Costa Pickle retreat reservations
Reservation Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of USD $500.00 per guest is required to secure your spot on a Costa Pickle retreat. Your reservation is not confirmed until your deposit has been received and acknowledged by Costa Pickle.
Balance Payment: The remaining balance is due in full no later than 30 days prior to the retreat start date. Guests who have not submitted full payment by this date may forfeit their reservation and deposit at Costa Pickle's discretion.
Accepted Payments: Payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking. All amounts are quoted and collected in United States Dollars (USD). Costa Pickle is not responsible for currency exchange rate differences.
If you need to cancel your reservation, the following schedule applies. Cancellation must be submitted in writing via email to Costa Pickle. The cancellation date is the date Costa Pickle receives your written notice.

Note: The $500 deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances regardless of the cancellation window. The refund percentages above apply to the balance payment only.
Where a future retreat credit is offered or elected, the following terms apply:
4.1 Cancellation Due to Insufficient Bookings
Costa Pickle requires a minimum of 4 confirmed guests to operate a retreat. In the event that the minimum is not reached, Costa Pickle reserves the right to cancel the retreat no later than 45 days prior to the start date. In such case, all guests will receive a full refund of all payments made including the deposit, or a 100% credit valid for 24 months toward a future Costa Pickle retreat — guest's choice.
4.2 Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Circumstances
In the event Costa Pickle must cancel a confirmed retreat due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control — including but not limited to medical emergency, serious injury to the operator, or circumstances that make it impossible or unsafe to operate — all guests will receive a full refund of all payments made including the deposit, or a 100% credit valid for 24 months — guest's choice. Costa Pickle will provide written notice to all confirmed guests as soon as reasonably practicable.
Costa Rica's Pacific Coast is a tropical environment. Costa Pickle operates year-round and retreats will proceed as scheduled regardless of rain, humidity, heat, or typical tropical weather conditions.
Costa Pickle is not liable for and will not issue refunds due to weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, storms, extreme heat, or surf conditions affecting ocean or catamaran activities. Guests are encouraged to research seasonal weather conditions for Guanacaste Province prior to booking.
In the rare event that a government-issued travel restriction, border closure, or force majeure event makes it impossible for guests to travel to or from Costa Rica, Costa Pickle will offer a full refund of all payments made, or a 100% credit valid for 24 months — guest's choice.
Costa Pickle strongly recommends that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to booking. Travel insurance can protect your investment against trip cancellation, medical emergencies, flight delays, lost baggage, and other unforeseen circumstances. Costa Pickle is not responsible for any costs related to airfare, accommodation outside the retreat, transportation to or from Costa Rica, or any other travel expenses incurred by the guest under any circumstances.
Recommended providers include Allianz Travel Insurance (allianztravelinsurance.com) and Travel Guard (travelguard.com), among others. Guests should ensure their policy covers adventure or sports activities.
Guests who fail to arrive without prior written notice, or who depart the retreat early for any reason including personal, medical, or travel-related circumstances, are not entitled to any refund or credit for unused retreat days or services.
Guests wishing to transfer their reservation to a different retreat date may do so subject to availability and the following conditions:
All transfer requests must be submitted in writing to Costa Pickle and are subject to availability. Costa Pickle reserves the right to decline transfer requests at its discretion.
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica. This policy is intended to be enforceable to the fullest extent permissible under the laws of each guest's home jurisdiction.
All cancellation requests, transfer requests, and policy inquiries must be submitted in writing. Verbal notice is not accepted. Costa Pickle will acknowledge receipt of all written requests within 5 business days.
